Teach me
Teach me to hold my head high
because years of negativity have pushed it down
Teach me to trust in life
because time has shown me such little reward
Teach me to believe in love
because my only true love was nothing more than a wish
Teach me to see
because my eyes have been closed for so long
Teach me to trust
because I have been used and taken for granted
Teach me direction
because I have truly lost my way
Of all these things that I wish to learn, I can offer you this in return...
